Preventive Dental Examination

The ‘Ordre des dentistes du Québec’ recommends a dental visit every 6 months.  If necessary, your dentist will adjust the frequency of your visits during your dental examination.

Your dentist will help you make informed decisions regarding your oral care and will ensure you understand and review your personal oral hygiene habits.

Prevention

Regular Brushing

Brush you teeth 2 times a day, and also use dental floss before going to bed. This is the most simple and efficient way to keep a healthy mouth and smile, for a long time!

Regular Dental Appointment

A complete dental exam done with your dentist, and also a dental cleaning with an hygienist, will allow them to assess the condition of your mouth and required treatments accordingly.

Be transparent

Your dentist, like any medical expert, needs to be advised of any condition you have or medication you are taking. This will allow your dentist to provide you with the best dental cares, adapted to your specific condition.

Prevent cavities and other dental problems

Are X-rays safe?

Yes, X-rays are safe.  Our clinic uses digital radiography so that patients are exposed to very low doses of radiation.  The rays are concentrated in the exact position and only take x-rays at high speed, their precision reduces the duration of the exposure for the patient.  A lead apron and collar are provided for your protection and our personnel is specifically trained with X-ray equipment.

Our children’s first dental appointment!

The first dental visit is recommended as soon as your children’s first teeth appear or within 6 months, around the age of one.  However, if your suspect a potential problem, it is recommended that you visit your dentist as soon as possible.
